COME ON-A MY HOUSE

a play by

PETER CHARLES MORRIS

(original title:  No Place Like Home)

2 Men, 2 Women, 1 set

A dark comedy about fear and loneliness.  A sweet old lady kidnaps a young man and forces him to become a part of her unusual family, including a son who writes musicals in collaboration with a sock puppet and a daughter who believes she is the heroine of a Jane Austin novel.

Workshopped at Sarah Lawrence College (2001)

Produced at the Trustus Theatre New Playwrights Festival in Columbia, South Carolina (2004)

"Each August for the past decade, Trustus theatre has done the first full-scale production of a new play.  Some have been so-so, some terrible, some great.  This year's offering by Peter Morris falls into the third category... it's all great fun."
